Tied to match the shape and profile of the naturals, the Juju Baetis is a solid match for any of the 150 or so blue-winged olives found around the globe. Tied with a segmented body of SuperHair coated in resin, a flashback wingcase, and Fluoro-Fibre legs, this tough fly can effectively match BWO nymphs, but its flashback wingcase also makes it a good choice whenever olives are emerging.
The Juju Baetis is tied without weight, so it's common to add some split shot to get it drifting on the bottom. From there, this fly can be fished as you would most other nymphs, whether drifted under an indicator through a fast run or on a tight line behind a boulder. Whether you're looking to match those tiny early-season olives or just need a searching pattern on your favorite tailwater, the Juju Baetis won't let you down.
