Uses

Ahrex made their FW540 Hooks in sizes 6 through 16, which give you a nice wide range of pattern sizes. With their curved shank, these hooks do a solid job at imitating various larvae and crustaceans (scuds and sowbugs), yet they can also be reliably used to tie emergers and even some soft hackles.

Comparisons

Another similar hook option is Kona's BC2 Barbless Curved Nymph Emerger Shrimp Hook. This hook also features a curved shank, but it has a wider gap than Ahrex's FW540 Hook.
