Two Bit Hooker Fly

Why have a fly with one bead when you can have a fly with two? The Two Bit Hooker revolutionized deep water nymphing with not one but two tungsten beads. This is a durable mayfly imitation that combines features of the Perdigon with two beads for deep rivers and pocket water. These flies also have wings that provide a little more bulk and a realistic profile in the water. While this fly is ideally suited for Euro nymphing and tightline techniques, it can also be used as a dropper or a point fly on a double nymph rig. While fishing the Two Bit Hooker, you have to be sure to gauge your depths correctly because of the weight of the fly. If you're fishing this fly on a Euro rig, it's slightly less important, but if you're fishing it under an indicator, you'll get snagged often if the distance between fly and indicator is too long. That being said, this is a phenomenal trout fly for deep, picky trout and comes in a variety of colors to match the hatch on your local river.
