The Story

An attractor that you can count on, whether you're pursuing cutthroat in an alpine stream or browns in a lowland limestone creek, the Tungsten Surveyor Fly is a nymph that's hard to beat. The Tungsten Surveyor Fly was designed by Lance Egan and is the result of his success with the Rainbow Warrior Fly, inspiration from the classic Hares Ear Nymph's profile, and his love for rainbow sow/scud dubbing. Taking all of these aspects into consideration, Lance came up with the Tungsten Surveyor Fly and quickly found success in the pattern. The Tungsten Surveyor Fly is a buggy nymph that doesn't quite match any natural insect, but it works almost anywhere you take it.

The Tungsten Surveyor Fly is an excellent attractor pattern and a fly that can be fished with Euro Nymph tactics, under an indicator, on a tight line, or worked into a multi-nymph rig. Perfect for prospecting water when you're unsure of what the fish are eating, this is a fly that's effective all year long and should be on hand anywhere you're headed.

Sizes Available:

14, 16, 18
