The Story

As a tribute to the contemporary craze of Euro and tight-line nymphing techniques, TFO built the Stealth as a rod specifically designed for European nymphing. As such, these rods come in two lengths (10’ and 10’ 6”) and two different line weights (2wt and 3wt). The rod taper is completely different than a traditional freshwater rod and is made for sensitivity and reach. Use this rod when tight-line nymphing for trout on small and medium-sized rivers. This is one of the best value-packed Euro rods on the market.

Blank

High Modulus Carbon Fiber - TFO has kept the blank light and responsive by using High Modulus Carbon Fiber and creating a taper that’s ideal for Euro nymphing. The blank was engineered to deliver multiple flies accurately while remaining lightweight and well-balanced for the ultimate Euro nymphing setup. The rod blanks are finished in a nice matte green color to keep you stealthy and camouflaged on the water.

Black Single-Foot Stripping Guides - The name of the game in Euro nymphing is to keep the rod lightweight and practical. Single foot black stripping guides help decrease overall rod weight while maximizing performance and minimizing friction through the guides.

Black Single-Foot Snake Guides - Similarly, single foot snake guides allow thin diameter running line to move down the rod effortlessly without adding more unnecessary weight to the rod. These guides are durable and hold up well to years on the water.

Reel Seat

Downlocking w/Machined Aluminum - A downlocking reel seat helps properly balance the Stealth and is an important feature in Euro nymphing rods. The reel seat on this rod is crafted from machined aluminum to stand up well to dings and scrapes.

Rod Tube

Cordura Rod Tube - The TFO Stealth comes in a Cordura rod tube to protect the rod during travel and transportation. Most TFO rods don’t come with rod tubes, however, TFO has included a rod tube in some of their latest rod models.

Warranty

TFO Warranty - As of October 2020, TFO rods purchased from an authorized dealer have a no-fault lifetime warranty for the life of the registered owner. TFO will always repair or replace (at no cost to the customer) any rod with faulty workmanship or manufacturer defects. If your rod breaks or is damaged from normal wear and tear, TFO charges $35 for repairs, processing, shipping, etc.
