SG Hybrid Technology - TFO has designed the blank of the Bluewater SG to be both caster-friendly and incredibly strong. By combining carbon fiber and S-Glass construction, TFO has built a tip section that is caster-friendly with fast recovery speeds and a butt section that’s made for fighting large fish. The combination of glass and carbon fiber makes this blank one of the most progressive in contemporary fly fishing.

Guides

Aluminum Oxide Insert Stripping Guides - Full aluminum oxide insert guides add to the durability and corrosion-resistance of the Bluewater SG. These heavy-duty guides accommodate large bluewater fly lines for increased casting and fish-fighting performance on the water.

Aluminum Oxide Insert Snake Guides - The snake guides also come with aluminum oxide inserts and are built for saltwater performance. Snake guides are industry-accepted and time-proven.

Reel Seat

Milled Aluminum w/Double Uplocking Component - The Bluewater SG has a heavy-duty milled aluminum reel seat that’s corrosion-resistant and stands up to wear and weathering. The double uplocking component anchors large bluewater saltwater reels to fight big fish. The Bluewater SG also comes with a couple of different grip options including composite cork split grips and a single lengthened composite cork fore-grip on larger rods.

Rod Tube

Cordura Rod Tube - The TFO Bluewater SG comes in a Cordura rod tube to protect the rod during travel and transportation. Most TFO rods don’t come with rod tubes, however, TFO has included a rod tube in some of their latest rod models.

Warranty

As of August 2022, TFO offers a warranty that covers defects in material and workmanship. Should you break or damage your rod due to an accident or typical wear and tear, TFO offers repair or a replacement for a fee. TFO also offers replacement sections at a fee for a faster alternative.
