Product Information
This Payne 206 has had a very nice restoration done. The rod appears to have been revarnished but retains the original hardware. The handle was also redone. The rod features a very early S-locking metal reel seal stamped E.F Payne rod. Below E.F. Payne Rod Co. Makers. On the reverse, it says Sold by Von Lengerke & Antoine, Chicago. The reel seat is very seldom seen. The grip is nice, almost new, slim half wells with a bit of damage near the seat. Above is a ring hook keeper with chestnut, red, gold, and purple wraps. The Striper is a very nice red agate. Each section is full and goes together well. The tips both have very slight sets in them
