The Story

Ready for those days spent swinging flies in smaller water systems, Scientific Anglers' Spey Lite Integrated Scandi Fly Line is a solid choice whether you're skittering caddis presentations on the surface or working wet flies through a riffle. Designed for light two-hand applications (though you can cast this line on a single-handed rod as well), the Spey Lite Integrated Scandi Line features a long front taper for delicate presentations. Available in grain weights 180 all the way through 420, this family of Scandi lines covers anything from your 3-weight switch rod all the way up to a 7-weight Spey rod. Versatile yet packed with finesse, you can rely on the Spey Lite Integrated Scandi Lines whether you're picking apart a run in search of summer steelhead or fooling aggressive smallmouth bass with lightweight streamers.

Features

SA Line ID, Advanced Shooting Technology, and Audible Reference Point - When it comes to two-hand applications, there's nothing worse than grabbing the wrong grain weight, which is why Scientific Anglers worked their SA Line ID into this series. A fast and easy reference, SA Line ID is an integrated marking system found at the line's 1'-2' tip section. Ready to hit targets both up close and far away, Scientific Anglers utilizes its Advanced Shooting Technology (AST) in this group of lines. AST is a patented dry-slick technology that decreases friction in order to increase distance, all while repelling dirt and grime to keep your line lasting longer. Whether you're on dawn patrol or just fishing through a dense fogbank, SA's Audible Reference Point is sure to come in handy. An embossed section of line placed right where the head meets your running line, the Audible Reference Point lets you know exactly where your cast should start--both easy and efficient, this technology removes some of the guesswork from your presentations.

Uses

Streamers, Wet Flies, and Dry Flies - A versatile Scandi line, the Spey Lite Integrated Scandi Line allows you to fish anything from a large streamer to a small dry fly. With its long front taper, this line allows you to softly present dry flies over rising fish just as well as you can crash a streamer through multiple currents in search of a hog.

Temp

Cold/Moderate - From winter trout applications to summer steelhead duty, Scientific Anglers made their Spey Lite Integrated Scandi Lines for fishing cold to moderate temperatures. This allows you to fish in just about any trout environment, and if you want to swing up some smallmouth in a warmwater river, this line can do so without fail.

Taper/Weight

More Mass Towards the Front of the Head - Designed to provide finesse to your dry fly game while simultaneously allowing you to load your rod and punch your line across the whole water system, Scientific Anglers built this line with a long front taper with more mass towards the front of the head. A versatile taper available in a range of grain weights, you can rely on this line for easy casting over a variety of different species. This two-color line has an Audible Reference Point worked right into its construction for efficient casting, and its taper makes for a pleasurable cast no matter where you're fishing.
