The Story

Starting with their popular Titan taper and adding a unique combination of tungsten powders, Scientific Anglers made their Sonar Titan Sink 3/Sink 5/Sink 7 Fly Line into a beast of a sinking line that can handle anything from behemoth trout to chunky striped bass. A unique taper, this line begins with a Sink 3 (2.5-3.5 ips) running line, then bumps into a Sink 5 (4.5-6.0 ips) handling line, and finishes off with a Sink 7 (7.0-8.0 ips) rear and front taper--this triple-density construction makes for clean and consistent sinking that helps get you in touch with heavy fish. With a fully tapered construction and braided multifilament core, this triple-density sinking line is easy to work with and casts as well as a floater; however, its unique weight and taper provide constant contact with your fly from your first strip to your last. From slinging Articulated Fatheads at monster trout to figure-eighting your way into monster musky, you can rely on the Sonar Titan Sink 3/Sink 5/Sink 7 for it all.

Features

SA Line ID, Advanced Shooting Technology, Shooting Texture, Sonar Sinking Technology - Designed to throw streamers at a range of aggressive fish species, Scientific Anglers loaded their Sonar Titan Sink 3/Sink 5/Sink 7 Fly Line with all of the tech that you need for success. Made in line weights 8 through 12, Scientific Anglers' SA Line ID ensures that you're never grabbing the wrong line. SA Line ID is a fast identification system found at the first 1'- 2' of the line's tip. To keep your line clean and make every cast count, Scientific Anglers utilizes its Advanced Shooting Technology (AST). AST is a patented dry-slick technology that decreases friction while increasing distance, and it's also there to extend the life of your line by repelling dirt, grime, and other contaminants. To further increase your cast and handling, Scientific Anglers uses their Shooting Texture, which is a series of hemispherical divots that provide the benefits of a textured fly line without the feel of one. And to keep your flies in the strike zone longer, SA's Sonar Sinking Technology is here to get the job done. Featuring a proprietary tungsten formula and unique tapering, Sonar Sinking Technology quickly gets your flies deep and keeps them right in the zone.

Uses

Streamers - Built exclusively for fishing streamers, the Sonar Titan Sink 3/Sink 5/Sink 7 line is equipped to throw a foot-long Game Changer just as well as it delivers a small Wooly Bugger. A solid line whether you're pursuing smallmouth bass in a deep reservoir or striped bass in the surf, the line's unique taper and triple-density construction make for easy casting and a straight-line connection with your fly.

Temp

Cold/Moderate -Scientific Anglers developed their Sonar Titan Sink 3/Sink 5/Sink 7 Fly Line to be fished in cold to warm water systems. This means that you can rely on it to fish cold rivers just as well as warm lakes, but if you try and use this line in a tropical waterway, it'll get soft and turn limp.

Taper/Weight

More Mass Towards the Front of the Head - The Sonar Titan Sink 3/Sink 5/Sink 7 is a fully tapered triple-density line that places more mass towards the front of the head. With this taper, you can load even the fastest rods while punching large flies directly into windy conditions. Made to quickly turn over flies and make quick shots, this taper lets you accurately cast streamers of just about any size with ease.
