A new line from Scientific Anglers, the Mastery Infinity is a true jack-of-all-trades. Built a half-size heavy, it effortlessly loads fast-action rods, yet remains versatile enough for a variety of rod actions and fly types. The long head and front taper provide exceptional casting distance and mending capabilities, making it ideal for everything from delicate dry fly presentations to chucking hefty streamers. Whether you're targeting trout, bass, panfish, or even pike and steelhead, this line has you covered and comes in line weights 3 through 8. A braided multifilament core ensures performance in moderate to cold climates, solidifying its place as a reliable companion for diverse freshwater situations.
Features
SA Line ID - To prevent the jam-up that occurs when you grab the right rod but the wrong line, the Mastery Infinity Lines are outfitted with SA’s Line ID tech, which is an integrated identification system found at the first 1’-2’ tip of the line, making it easy to know exactly which line you're grabbing or spooling up.
Advanced Shooting Technology (AST) - AST is a patented dry-slick technology that gives continual line slickness while reducing grime, dirt, and other buildup on your line.
Welded Loops - Few technologies are as convenient as welded loops on the front and back of your fly line. SA's welded loops give a seamless transition between your line and leader while making those on-the-water leader adjustments nice and easy.
Uses
Dry Flies, Wet Flies, Streamers, and Nymphs - As Scientific Anglers says themselves, "there is no end to what you’ll be able to do with it;" the Mastery Infinity Line is able to present nearly every fly in your box. Made just a half-line size heavy, this line does an excellent job at throwing larger streamers while its long head ensures delicate landing when presenting something like a dry fly or emerger. A versatile choice, this do-it-all fly line is equipped to handle a variety of flies, while line weights ranging from 3 through 8 give an option whether you're casting an Elk Hair Caddis high in the mountains or working a large articulated streamer for prespawn pike.
Temp
Cold to Moderate - Winter nymphing for trout to summer poppers for bass, the Mastery Infinity Line handles a wide range of cold to moderate water temps. This allows you to fish all four seasons, but should you try and fish it in a truly tropical setting, you'll find that the line softens up.
Taper/Weight
Long Head w/ Substantial Front Taper - Built with versatility in mind, SA equips the Mastery Infinity Series with a taper that loads fast rods while maintaining the finesse that you need for tricky trout situations. Built a half size heavy and blending a long head with a substantial front taper, this line has the power to throw large streamers with the finesse to present small dry flies.
