The perfect line for New England and other colder water situations, the line picks up right where the tropical version and features a three-quarter heavy built, AST Plus slickness additive, a short, powerful taper, as well as a braided multifilament core that's perfect for colder water. From the shores of Cape Cod during the fall run when you're one bonito away from a New England grand slam, to chicken mahi off of Long Island, and all the way to sea trout in Virginia, this line is built in weights 8 through 12 and is ready for every cold water situation you find yourself in.

A quick identifier, SA Line ID is an integrated marking system in the first 1’-2’ of the tip section that ensures you won’t accidentally bring an 8-weight line with a 12-weight rod onto the boat.

Temp

Cold to Moderate - From your first cast of the season on the back half of April and all the way to the Fall Run in Montauk, this line is made for moderate to cold water and won't stiffen up when you're chasing November blitzes. On the other hand, if you were to try and use it in a warm to tropical situation, the standard Grand Slam line is a much better choice as it won't soften up.

Taper/Weight
