Made for hunting big fish and picking apart the largest rivers around, Scientific Anglers' Mastery Anadro/Nymph Fly Line gives precision and line control like no other. Built with an extended rear taper and overweighed by one line weight (go one size heavier for use on a Skagit setup), the Mastery Anadro/Nymph Fly Line makes long casts, performs mends and roll casts like a champ, and can turn over any heavy multi-nymph-indicator rig you can come up with. Ready for anything from tailwater trout to fresh-running steelhead, the Mastery Anadro/Nymph Fly Line is a versatile tool that just plain works.
Features
SA Line ID, Advanced Shooting Technology, and Improved Dry Tip - A popular line that's available in weights 5-9, Scientific Anglers uses their SA Line ID to prevent you from grabbing the wrong weight. An integrated marking system found at the first 1'-2' of the line's tip, SA Line ID makes identification nice and easy. Made to effectively cover large water systems, Scientific Anglers puts their Advanced Shooting Technology (AST) to work in order to make this tall task easier. A patented dry-slick technology, AST works to reduce friction and increase casting distance while preventing and repelling dirt, grime, and other waterborne contaminants that may compromise your line's life. Built to float higher in order to reduce drag and increase hook-ups, SA equips this series with their Improved Dry Tip. Improved Dry Tip is unique series of microballoons that works to float twice as high as other lines on the market.
Uses
Dry Flies, Nymphs, Poppers, and Streamers - A line that can just about do it all, Scientific Anglers made the Mastery Anadro/Nymph Lines to adapt to anything that a large river throws your way. Whether you're mending across multiple rifles to keep your nymphs deep, casting dry flies into slow-moving runs, or stripping streamers through logjams, this line can present them all with accuracy and control.
Temp
Cold/Moderate - Designed to fish cold rivers, SA makes their Mastery Anadro/Nymph Fly Line to handle cold to moderate waters. This means that it's an incredible tool for all trout waters, and should you want to hit some backyard lakes for carp, pike, and bass, you can do so without fail. However, this line shouldn't be taken to a tropical environment because it will get soft and turn limp.
Taper/Weight
More Mass Towards the Front of the Head - Created to help make small work of big waterways, Scientific Anglers built their Mastery Anadro/Nymph Fly Line with a versatile taper that puts more mass towards the front of the head. By extending the rear taper and overweighting the line by one line weight, this floating line makes long-distance casts nice and easy while also achieving clean mends and an ability to turn over clunky and heavy rigs. A solid tool for presenting a range of flies over big systems, the Anadro/Nymph Line has a taper that can effectively fit its way into most scenarios.
