The perfect line for those of us who prefer to fish under the cloak of nightfall, Scientific Anglers' Frequency Magnum Glow Fly Line is an excellent choice whether you're trying to mouse up your best brown of the year, fish those hatches that extend into the wee hours of the night, or even hit some nighttime striped bass around bridges. Built with a glowing top half (the bottom half is an ivory color for a more subtle presentation at night), the upper half of this line glows in the dark so that you always know where you're presenting your flies after dark. Designed to turn over large flies with ease, the Frequency Magnum Glow is a line that lets you present large streamers just as well as a dry fly, and despite it being a glow-in-the-dark line, it's also a fine choice for fishing during the daylight. Night shift, day shift, or any combination of the two, you can always count on the Frequency Magnum Glow Fly Line to help you pursue trophy fish.
Features
Advanced Shooting Technology - A line that focuses on delivery, Scientific Anglers equips their Frequency Magnum Glow Fly Line with their Advanced Shooting Technology (AST). AST is a patented dry-slick technology that increases slickness while reducing friction and preventing the buildup of grime and other particles. A solid addition to the Magnum Frequency Glow, AST will help you make the most of your cast and prolong the life of this line. Their Frequency Magnum Glow also features a glow-in-the-dark upper that allows you to track your line no matter how dark it is outside.
Uses
Streamers, Mice, Poppers, Nymphs, Dry Flies, and Wet Flies - The Frequency Magnum Glow Fly Line has a rare ability to handle just about any condition and any fly in your box. With an aggressive taper, this line can throw large saltwater streamers and heavy multi-nymph rigs just as well as it can deliver a size 14 sulphur. And with its glow-in-the-dark upper half, you'll be hard-pressed to find a line that can deliver a mouse pattern better than this one.
Temp
Cold/Moderate - The Magnum Frequency Glow Fly Line is made for use in cold to moderate fresh and saltwater. This will allow you to fish cold trout streams as well as water that tends to be a little warmer, but should you try and fish it in a tropical environment, you'll notice that it gets soft and turns limp.
Taper/Weight
More Mass Towards the Front of the Head - When they made the Frequency Magnum, Scientific Anglers set out to create a line that could throw bulky flies and heavy setups with ease. For that reason, they overweighted it and put more mass towards the front of the head. This allows it to easily load fast-action rods and turn over large flies and heavy nymph rigs. And although this line was made for throwing big bugs and cutting wind, you can also rely on it to present small dry flies should you find yourself in the middle of a hatch.
