Sinking lines for Stripers allow anglers to fool predatory fish holding tight to structure in deep water. If you've done any Striper fishing, you know how important a sinking line is. The Royal Wulff Striper Fast Sinking Line is perfect for a wide range of applications from boat fishing to shore fishing along the eastern coast of the US. It's a line that is easy to shoot, has beautiful energy transfer, and makes casting larger flies easy. If you're planning on doing any Striper fishing this season, this is a great line to consider.
Features
J3 Coating - Royal Wulff's J3 Coating causes the line to sink quicker, shoot farther, and repel water for ultimate performance. The slick coating has a 'dry feel' which helps minimize friction through the guides and increases the life of the line. The line's durability and dirt-repelling capabilities can also be attributed to this coating. The Striper version of this line is available in a blue/black color for ultimate stealth in any saltwater setting.
Uses
All Casting, Stripers - The saltwater version of Royal Wulff's Striper triangle taper has many similar features as the freshwater version. This is a line that excels at shooting line quickly and targeting Stripers in deeper water. It's a great line to carry in the air and energy is efficiently transferred throughout the line to encourage tight loops and high accuracy which means it's a great line for large flies. The sinking line is ideal for targeting fish that are feeding on the bottom or hanging out on structure in deep water.
Temp
Cold/Moderate - This line is made to be used in cold and moderate climates including saltwater scenarios in the Northeast, Northwest, and almost any coldwater saltwater climate. It's also a line that can be used on larger freshwater fish including Bass, Pike, or Carp. That being said, this line will turn limp in tropical climates and isn't meant to be used in high heat.
Taper/Weight
Continuous Forward Taper - The head of the Triangle Taper Striper is 30 feet. Unlike any other line, it features a continuous front taper which means the heaviest part of the head is at the rear and the lightest is in the forward part of the line. This taper promotes wide-ranging performance from crab flies to streamers and everything in between.
