Taking design inspiration from Mike Mercer's famous Micro Mayfly Nymph, this fly has a similar construction consisting of a pheasant tail fiber tail, ribbed flash body, dubbed thorax, and resin-coated wingcase. However, where it differs is in its heavy tungsten bead. Combining a heavy tungsten bead with a slim look allows this fly to sink quickly so you can easily work those fast and deep runs.

A great imitation for small mayfly nymphs like PMDs, BWOs, and some smaller sulfurs, this is a fly that should be carried every day of the year, especially during the spring whenever these bugs are most active in preparation for their emergence.
