Megalopsicle Fly

A popular fly whether you're pursuing hundred-pounders or juveniles in back bays and mangroves, the Megalopsicle Fly is a great choice for just about any tarpon adventure. Taking inspiration from the famous Toad Fly, the Megalopsicle Fly has a synthetic tail, zonker collar, weed guard, and spun deer head with eyes. All of these materials come together to provide lifelike movement and give a fly that hovers in the water to please those tarpon that so often attack from below. While the Megalopsicle Fly doesn't imitate any specific type of forage, it's an attractor pattern that's rich with movement and just seems to pull tarpon in.

An excellent choice for tarpon but a fly that also does a number on species like snook, jack crevalle, and even bluefish, the Megalopsicle Fly is a solid addition to any saltwater fly box and should be carried in a few different colors to ensure you always have what the fish are keyed in on.
