Horodyskys Tungsten Mopsicle Fly

A fly that raises as many eyebrows as it does catch fish, the Mopsicle Horodysky Tung Fly picks up where the original Mop Fly left off. Designed by Andrij Horodysky, the Mopsicle Horodysky Tung Fly is a great cranefly larvae imitation and an even better attractor pattern. Tied out of synthetic mop yarn, a flash collar, a little dubbing around the thorax, and a bead head, this fly has tremendous movement in the water, and its bead head ensures that you're always deep in the water column.

You can fish the Mopsicle Horodysky Tung Fly any day of the year, and it does especially well in moving water that really makes its tail flutter and attract fish. The Mopsicle Horodysky Tung Fly is also a great pattern to use as a point fly in a multi-nymph setup.
