Hareline Strung Marabou Blood Quills

Hareline Marabou Strung Blood Quills are some of our favorite marabou feathers for tying a number of streamers. They are great for tails on Woolly buggers and leeches and are the right choice for tying wings on flies like the Cat Eyed Boobie fly. They have a very thin stem that makes them move a ton in the water and easy to palmer with.

Uses

Patterns and Tying Techniques - Hareline Marabou Strung Blood Quills can be used to tail streamers or make realistic swimming nymph patterns like damselflies. You can also use them for wings on streamers. A small piece of marabou can also be used to make gills and thoraxes on nymphs.

They are the better choice for plamering and for short bushy flies. Choose the Extra Select Marabou Feathers when you need extra fiber length or are going to strip long barbs off of the quill.
