The Story

When you thought standard Rabbit Strips had all of the motion you needed, think again. Hareline's Silky Bunnybou Strips take that movement to the next level. Sourced from a special breed of rabbit, the hair on these strips is different from your standard Rabbit Strip in that there are no guard hairs, and the fur is more densely packed, shorter, and softer. This makes for a natural movement and seductive undulation, whether you're stripping or swinging your fly. A material that's easy to work with and comes in a ton of different colors, Hareline's Silky Bunnybou Strips are sure to add life to your patterns, whether you're imitating sculpin or whipping up a round of cinder worms.

Uses

From tails and bodies on streamers to claws on crabs and crayfish, Hareline's Silky Bunnybou Strips do it all. This material has excellent movement in the water, and its smaller size lends itself perfectly to smaller patterns or whenever you want a slimmer profile.

Comparisons

Hareline's Rabbit Fur Strips are a solid alternative to their Silky Bunnybou Strips, but there are some key differences between these two materials. Rabbit Fur Strips have guard hairs, adding a bit of rigidity to their texture, and they also tend to have less fiber density and a little less softness in the underfur. On the other hand, the Silky Bunnybou Strips have higher fiber density, zero guard hairs, and are a bit softer, giving you a material that has a bit more movement and breathes just that much more than your standard Rabbit Strips. Both of these materials are excellent options whenever you're looking for flies packed with movement, however.
