The Story

Beautiful feathers that are ready to tie anything from bold dry flies to squid to traditional salmon flies, Hareline's Lady Amherst Tippets are an elegant addition to a range of patterns. Sourced from Lady Amherst Pheasant's neck, these feathers have a bright white background with a bold black marking that makes them stand out in the water regardless of what pattern you're whipping up.

Uses

Lady Amherst Tippets are a relatively versatile feather. You can strip the fibers off of the feather and tie them in as a tail on nymphs, wet flies, and dry flies or use them to tie wings or cheeks on traditional streamers and salmon/steelhead flies.

Comparisons

Since the feathers from a Lady Amherst Pheasant are pretty unique to that bird, finding a close alternative is a bit tough. However, Golden Pheasant Tippet Feathers are a decent alternative. Golden Pheasant Tippet Feathers have a similar barring, but instead of having a rounded edge, it's a bit more square. Also, Golden Pheasant Feathers have a gold/orange appearance instead of white.
