Built around Hardy’s advanced Sintrix NSX platform, these rods deliver exceptional balance and feedback while maintaining the strength required for long days, heavy tips, and challenging conditions. It’s a rod designed to make two-handed fishing feel intuitive rather than demanding, while the Ultralite NSX's ability to present a range of different line styles, fly patterns, and cover everything from water-anchor casting in large rivers all the way to overhead casting for striped bass along the sandy coast of our home state of Maine. Hardy packages their Ultralite NSX Rod in a durable hard case designed to protect long two-handed rods during transport and travel. Unlike other rod tubes, Hardy's is built around a square-design, to prevent your rod from rolling around when things get rocky.

Warranty

As of December 2025, Hardy’s Ultralite NSX Fly Rods are covered by their Worldwide Extended Warranty. This warranty is pretty straightforward, and for $75, it covers the repair or replacement of your rod.
