Flashback Hares Ear Fly

Taking inspiration from one of the most classic nymphs in the game, the Flashback Hares Ear Fly is a reliable nymph that you can count on. While the Flashback Hares Ear takes a similar buggy approach to the original Hares Ear Nymph, it differs in its flashback wingcase, and not only does this addition add a little glimmer to the fly, but it also does a great job at imitating the air bubble created whenever nymphs are emerging. And although the flashback wingcase provides a little extra versatility should some bugs begin to hatch, the Flashback Hares Ear can effectively imitate most mayfly nymphs and even some caddis and stonefly nymphs all the same.

This is a fly that you can fish just about any time of year and in any size, with the most common sizes being 12-16. Whether you choose to sink it deep and bump the bottom, float it under an indicator, or let it drift unweighted at the beginning of a mayfly hatch, the Flashback Hares Ear is a fly that you won't want to leave out of your nymphing box.
