Core C1530 Wet Short Hooks

The perfect hook for those who tie a wide range of different wet flies, Core's C1530 Wet Short Hooks get the job done whether you're filling your nymph box or tying some classic winged wet flies. These hooks have a shorter shank and bronze finish that provides a clean appearance, while their chemically sharpened point and small barb give strong hooking and holding power. A versatile series of hooks, the Core C1530 Wet Short Hooks are made in sizes 4 through 20 so that you can imitate just about any insect in your system.

Uses

Coming in such a wide range of sizes, you can use Core's C1530 Wet Short Hooks to tie nymphs of all sizes as well as winged wet flies and some streamers.

Comparisons

A similarly built hook is Tiemco's TMC 3769 Nymph and Wet Hook. This hook has a bronze finish and is designed for tying nymphs and some streamers just like the Core C1530 Wet Short Hooks, but it doesn't have the shorter shank of the C1530 Hooks and it also has a slightly different bend. Other than those two differences, you can use both of these hooks to tie a variety of subsurface patterns.
